Shawn Turner - Varsity Coach 27@patriotbaseball.com
This will be the 11th season for the Patriots to be under the helm of Coach Turner. The '88 grad of Terre Haute North is very proud of the direction of the program. In fact, the play of the Patriots has led to Coach Turner being selected by his peers as District Coach of the Year for 2004 and 2005. He looks for great things to happen as the Patriots attempt to get back to the Patriot Way in 2008.
Fay Spetter - Varsity Asst spetter8@patriotbaseball.com
Spetter enters his 15th season as a varsity assistant coach at Terre Haute North in '08. After playing on the Patriots' state championship team in 1974, Coach Spetter attended Three Rivers Community College in Missouri and then Indiana State University.

Coach Bryant begins his 10th season as the Patriots Junior Varsity Coach this spring following five years as assistant coach at Fountain Central HS. Coach Bryant has provided the Patriots with positive leadership and a dedication to learning the philosophies of the Patriot baseball program.

Coaches Outlook for the Season... The 2008 season will feature many new faces with the graduation of Anthony Gregory, Ryan Hartleroad, Matt Parker, Devin Peabody, Steven Pendergast, Nate Rodgers, Matt Sebastian, Jordan Shaw-Tyler, and Andrew Woodason. To continue our recent successes, the Patriots will need big seasons from seniors Joe Meggs (Catcher/First Base), Mark Merrill (Third Base/Second Base), and Brandon Dorsett (Pitcher/Outfield), from juniors J.T. Bailey (Pitcher), Michael Eberle (Shortstop), Jake Feider (Second Base), Nick Pilipovich (Third Base/Catcher/Outfield), and Billy Sisson (First Base/Designated Hitter) and possibly even sophomores Dougie Collett (Catcher/Designated Hitter), Parker Fulkerson (Pitcher/Shortstop), Andrew Gauer (Pitcher/Outfield).
The JV program under the guidance of Coach Bryant should be ready for a great season as well. Many players from 2007's team return and several eager young freshmen will compete for spots on the varsity, junior varsity, and freshmen teams, respectively. The quality of players listed above brings a great deal of optimism to Coach Turner and his staff for the bright future of the Patriot Baseball Program. Go North!
News & Notes for '08 Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity Patriots to open the 2008 season with a doubleheader at Ben Davis in MIC action on Friday, March 28th.
